This carbon fiber knife is an unconventional self-defense stealth weapon for an operator that is compact, legal and covert.
*CARBON FIBER KNIFE
As a vagabond I’m constantly in a different foreign environment and as a tactical traveler I’m adapted to defend myself. As with all my other gear, I meticulously choose every component of my packing list for maximum effectiveness and situational precision.
*Due to international laws, border crossings and constant flights, my knife of choice for EDC is :
-Made From Pure Carbon Fiber
-Compact and Easily Concealable
-Not Classified as a “Weapon”
-*Airport Security/Airplane Accepted
-Can Potentially be Considered Art
There are a few places on the internet where you can buy a full carbon fiber blade knife($) but after much research, I opted to create my own with my bare hands using my exact specifications.
I used a solid block of carbon fiber and painstakingly shaped it to a straight back blade with ergonomic handles fitted for my hands.
The result was a work of weaponry art.
The blade of the carbon fiber knife won’t hold an edge nearly as well as steel but its structurally stiffer, nearly weightless, undetectable by metal detectors and invisible to x-ray scanners.
While the blade is nearly razor sharp, I layered just the edge with a coat of superglue to intentionally keep it dull for safety and covert purposes. A firm tap to a hard surface will crack the superglue and expose the sharpness for the when the situation calls for it.
I also made a carbon fiber impact dagger (see above) that’s half the length but twice as thick as the CF knife. This version is not sharp as it’s not meant to cut which also makes it appear innocuous and convenient to carry. This dagger is part of my 24/7 EDC.
There are inherent dangers in using a knife as well as potential criminal charges even for self-defense purposes so be aware of your surroundings, local laws, risk factors and personal skills.
