I’m about to embark on a 1 year around the world backpacking trip and was trying to think of a a good question to ask you. But all I could think of was:
What’s it like traveling the world full time in your perspective?
As a vagabond, traveling around the world is my lifestyle so it’s become normalcy to me.
The first month or so the excitement was almost unbearable, in a good way. Day or night, regardless of how mundane my activity (like doing laundry or eating breakfast) it was like an adventure.
It’s quite a feeling.
That intense excitement always returns when arriving to a new country or city… Always, without fail.
As time and kilometers goes by, the thrill factor may have plateaud but my respect to the different cultures and appreciation for the art of travel keeps getting stronger. This in turn makes the vagabonding experience a more rewarding and enlightening one.
So I suppose you can say traveling the world full time is a journey, not just by definition but in the adventurous and even spiritual way… and it’s a hell of a lot of fun.
In the early stages of travel it felt like an extended holiday but it gradually changed into everyday “life”.
