The average person’s life spans 25,000 days and this Earth we spend our lives on has a circumference that spans 25,000 miles.
It may be a coincidence of numbers but as a vagabond, I take it as a message… to travel the world.
[quote text_size=”small” author=”Saint Augustine “]
The World is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page.
The Universe is nearing 14,000,000,000 years of age while Earth is just a tender 4.5 billion. If lucky, humans get to experience a good 70 years or 25,000 days.
We sleep through a third of that and spend another third working jobs most of us hate.
This is the hand we humans were dealt.
To work and sleep most of our lives so that we can enjoy only the remaining 1/3 of our time alive.
Personally, as a vagabond my ratio is quite different as I travel the world for a living. Although that doesn’t change my life span, it does make it more fulfilling.
Because I get to see the world.
Not everyone regards travel as highly as I do but if your reading this, then it must be up there. Which means you understand the true value and meaning of travel…
There are very few things in this world that makes me happier than traveling on it. That is wanderlust.
I would gladly spend the rest of my potential 15,000 days left on this world traveling all over it.
