An everyday carry kit is a constantly evolving, ever-changing set of gear that should be customized for the person’s preferences and situational needs.
This is a partial gear list for on-my-person carry. The remaining and bulk of my equipment is mostly in my FAST Pack EDC Backpack.
Black Cobra Toughbook
Although my primary laptop is a MacBook Air, the CF-19’s armored design and relative carryability makes it more ideal for tactical scenarios.

A high-end / high-tech compact tactical folding knife applicable for hard use utility, combat defense and international everyday carry.
Despite its size, the Exilis is a formidable tactical knife. Which means it can also be just as formidable in any other cutting task any other pocket knife should perform, but in most cases, better and faster.
-Retails for about $270
Submariner Date Watch
This Rolex is a retirement gift from my former employer of which I only recently reacquired after 4 years, as collateral for a favor. They say the Submariner is the most iconic of wristwatches and while the Rolex brand may be ostentatious, this piece is a tool watch, meant to be ruggedly worn everyday for any activity and environment – including 1000 feet deep in the ocean.
Whatever the case, it tells time and it’s a symbol of my achievement and the flashiest thing I never bought.
-Retails for about $8,500
Made by Tuff Writer, these are the best tactical pens that don’t look like deadly weapons but without sacrificing their tactical nature. Exceedingly tough built like a tank with precision writing elements.
The most perfect self defense tool for non-permissive environments.
-Retails for about $80
This is the world’s most beautiful carabiner, by Svorn. But more than that, it’s as perfect for stylish and functional everyday carry needs. Made uniquely of zinc alloy into an elegant artistic piece at just the right size, unlike other non-climbing carabiners that are as large as the climbing versions.
I now have 4 of these used for various purposes including 1 on my person at all times.
-Retails for about $40
Dark Energy 214A
This is the smallest model of SOG’s line of flashlights. Overbuilt for tactical and other heavy duty use but in an ultra-compact size. Unusually powerful (for its size) at a max 214 lumens with 4 operating modes including strobe.
The rear thumb button and forward impact bezel is a nice touch.
