“You only live once…” is an inspirational saying and while still powerful, it’s not entirely accurate to vagabonds as we tend to live many lives.
Every country vagabonds explore means new cultures, peoples, foods, languages, climates, laws and even different timezones. This equates to new ways of acting, eating, playing and even thinking.
In other words, experiencing different ways to live…
As “living a life” can be considered a collection of actions and moments in a chronological order from a relatively familiar and straightforward perspective.
So if done right, if you engage yourself in the ways of each parts of the world, you can live more than just the one life most people think we are given.
The ideology of vagabonds and modern nomads is to travel the world as a lifestyle.
Tourists merely sample or dabble in what the world offers but we immerse ourselves in it to make it our world, even if just temporarily. We don’t go to foreign lands as a holiday but to make their ways our own.
We watch then live like the locals, learn from it then move on and repeat to start a new life.
This is the vagabonding way.
Most People Live Once, Vagabonds Live Many Lives.
