Life Tactics: Time All Your Daily Actions /// VINJABONDTime All Your Daily Actions   //

Time is a funny thing. Quantum theory proves it doesn’t actually exist and yet it’s the most valuable commodity in the world. More than that, without the concept of time, we couldn’t function as individuals or as a species.

From how we perceive existence, every action or simply every possible thing, has a beginning and an end.

And so “timing is everything” is not just a saying.

But that’s not such a bad thing. This means we can accurately measure the intervals and durations of what we do in a meaningful and useful way.

With this data, we can take control of our lives to make it more efficient, effective and make more time.

You don’t have to swing hard to hit a home run. If you got the timing, it’ll go.

Yogi Berra

Time everything you do, with a watch or in your head.

How many seconds does it take for you to get out of your house and onto the street? How many minutes does it take for you to eat your hurried breakfasts? How many hours do you spend watching TV a week? How much time passes before you actually get out of bed from waking up from the alarm? How many seconds is each red light on roads you frequently take?

At first, these numbers may seem meaningless but as a whole or for specific moments, this information could prove very useful beyond just life statistics.

All things entail rising and falling timing. You must be able to discern this.

Miyamoto Musashi

By knowing (almost) exactly how you spend time in all aspects of your life, you can make appropriate adjustments to make it a better one:

-Shortening certain activities that take up too much time to make room for other more important ones.

For specific events, you can make more strategic decisions with more control on the outcome:

This is the art of timing.

The exercise of life timing will give you a better understanding of passing time as well as more precise precalculations of the duration of events without the need for an actual time measuring device.

Life is about timing.

Carl Lewis

Time is more valuable than money and is something we can’t get more of after it passes but we understandably watch our bank accounts like a hawk.

So from now on, time every “start and stop” event (no matter how seemingly insignificant) of your daily life.

GREAT TIP! You just gave me an idea to “map” my vicinity using time. How do you measure time when you do this?
