An everyday carry kit is a constantly evolving, ever-changing set of gear that should be customized for the person’s preferences and situational needs.

*Everyday Carry Gear Kit Items V3 :

This EDC kit is separate from my packing list as the latter is the whole sum of all my gear. Other items stay in my FAST Pack.

Everyday Carry Gear - Moduloader Pocket Shield

ModuLoader Pocket Shield //

As clever as it is simple, these keep my typical everyday carry gear organized and positioned for seamless and fast access within my pockets. They also reduce bulge and “item printing” that happens to result in comfort as well.

I also use these pocket organizers variably in my bags and kits.

Everyday Carry Gear - Tensul Clip

Tensul Symmetric Clip //

The most elegant and well designed carbon fiber money clip I have found. Unlike most CF clips, these are constructed of multiple parts using different types of carbon fiber to both aesthetics and function. This has replaced my wallet and will be housing the highly anticipated Plastc Card upon its release.

Secures the Microtech Assailant Card beautifully, see below.

Everyday Carry Gear - Assailant Card

Microtech Assailant Card //

Made from beta titanium alloy, this is a credit card shaped defense knife. The round chisel edge that’s carbidized makes it convenient for care-free carry and exceptional cutting power.

Great for “special circumstance” use such as an aggressive version of the decoy wallet method.

Everyday Carry Gear - HITCASE

Hitcase Pro+ //

This tactical / adventure / travel iPhone case and camera augmenter has become just as important as the phone itself and the rest of my everyday carry gear. It makes the iPhone completely waterproof, shockproof and adds an impressive true wide lens enhancement. Like a handier GoPro.

All my vagabonding photography is shot this way.

Everyday Carry Gear - NomadKey

NomadKey //

Keeping a standard iPhone or USB cable on your person as everyday carry gear is not an option, those belong in proper bags. But alas, I still need a way to charge my iPhone and this is perfect for pocket carry.

Also made by the same company is the NomadPlus, a small battery + charger that works seamlessly together.

Everyday Carry Gear - Piranha OTF Knife

Piranha Excalibur //

This out-the-front (OTF) automatic tactical knife is my new primary, replacing the Microtech Troodon after literally being blown to bits by an IED. American made and built like a tank, slightly modified.

Everyday Carry Gear - CF Impact Dagger Device

CF Impact Dagger Device //

My version of the lapel dagger. A nigh-imperceptible carbon fiber defense device with a micro shaped charge explosive tip, detonated on catastrophic impact.

Developed specifically for non-fatal but extremely painful and shock inducing special circumstance defense measures, particularly for carry in non-permissive areas.

Everyday Carry Gear - SOG DarkEnergy

Dark Energy 214A //

This is the smallest model of SOG’s line of flashlights. Overbuilt for tactical and other heavy duty use but in an ultra-compact size. Unusually powerful (for its size) at a max 214 lumens with 4 operating modes including strobe.

The rear thumb button and forward impact bezel is a nice touch.

Everyday Carry Gear - Life Capsules

Life Capsule Omega //

One of the only items that has been a part of my everyday carry gear since day one of my vagabonding world travels started in 2012. These portable caches are MIL-SPEC tough to protect the contents like a micro-personal vault.

I always carry one of them but often the pair. Various minimal kits for situational needs.

  $80 USD   |   REVIEW

Everyday Carry Gear - Obstructures Tool

Obstructures Tool //

I don’t like to equip full sized multi-tools on my person although the smaller Gerber DIME makes it on to my EDC once in a while. This titanium pry tool is a good solution to my specific needs.

Ultra lightweight, low profile yet incredibly strong for the roughest and smallest of tasks.

I got those Pocket Shields after I read your review and dig them, so great for my pockets…. I can see how one of them works in how you customized them but what’s the long one for?

Am I seeing a pattern here? All your EDC gear is black, black and black. No surprise :)

Just pre-ordered the Hitcase for the iPhone 6…. can’t wait!
